FOMO in life

FOMO is kind-of stupid, and people that have it make me kind-of mad. I'm not sure why!
There's something extremely fake, and not right, about only doing things, talking to people, and being in places simply because you feel like you "don't want to miss out."
Like, where are your priorities?
Actually having fun, or fulfilling some need to not miss out?
And what is your problem, anyway?
Why do you feel like you just can't miss out?
Will the world fall apart if you're not in it?
This just randomly came to my mind
If you're not there, and your friends are hanging out, I view it as a good thing. You don't need to be there.
And the way I view it, there's so many good conversations that they can have if you're not there.
And like, you not being there is not the end of the world.
Perhaps someday at some moment you'll be caught up on what went on, perhaps not; it's the mystery of life! <(that keeps us all going).
I think it all ties into humility and all the ways in which Orthodox affects my life. I don't need to be there. I don't need to know. I don't have a need. I don't let it affect me.
