A 2025 Memoir (the un-personal version)

Preface

I've been writing these memoirs for about three years now, I think I consistently started doing them in 2023. Probably because that was a year I had some crazy wack predictions for. I've never thought about or even had the idea for making it into a blog post though. As you can imagine, some of the elements of my predictions for the year are quite personal. So I will modify the real version lol and include as many sections/details from the real version as I want to/feel like it.

A 2025 Memoir

my words for 2025 in my recap 2024 Instagram post were… “I have a feeling 2025 about to get wild tho.” Um, it already has. I don’t think I was wrong. I might have made it worse.

I think my word of the year, for 2025, is “wild.” Not sure what else it would be lol.

Introduction

Dear Masha,

Let’s just get to it, shall we? No need for shallow introductions (me just not knowing what to say…..)

My 2024 (for) 2025 GOALS in late December/ early January (of 2024)

-Learn Rachmaninoff song (Prelude in G Minor)

-Splits (right, left, and potentially middle. Stretch every night).

-Finish Сын Человеческий, read more, read Russian Lit.

Writing

You are really active on your blog and (this is mostly just what I want to happen) but the outreach has gotten great. A lot more people actually read your blog now, and actively love it. And, participate! They comment, like, sign up. I don’t know how you’re going to make this happen, if it’s even possible or probable, but I just hope you’ll figure it out (or get lucky).

Piano

YOU LEARNED THAT RACHMANINOFF SONG (Prelude in G Minor) AND YOU’RE AMAZING AT IT. YOU PLAY IT IN FULL TEMPO AND IT’S INSANE. YOUR MOM/FAMILY ARE IN AWE. You also learned a bunch of other songs as well, from that book that your piano teacher of 11 years (wow she really saw a lot didn’t she) gifted you at your last piano concert June 2024? I think? (cries). Perhaps you have even reconnected with the instructor herself!!

The day that I’m writing this, January 16th, 2025, there are a lot of crazy things that are happening. Actually the timing is just ridiculous, because the most crazy developments are in the process of developing. In exactly a week, is the Ball, January 24th, 2024. I’m sure so much has happened. There’s just no way it didn’t. For sure, shit went down. There’s just no way it didn’t. I hope you enjoyed/are enjoying your absolute novel/movie of a life. So I’m beyond confused. That’s all I can say. I’ve said it all. I’ve said enough (If you are confused as the reader right now, it's because of all the stuff I've purposely cut out LOL).

Career

I want you to get a job in 2025. Something like for example, a Family Doctor Assistant or a Research Assistant or something that you care about or is interesting to you.

Spirituality

You’ve obviously finished reading Сын Человеческий by now since you were basically done by the end of 2024/start of 2025. I’m sure you’ve read or are reading other Orthodox books by Александр Мень as well. I’m proud of how far you've come. 

Dreams/UNIVERSITY

You actually started slaying Biomedical Engineering. You love physics and are good at it and slay. But by now, you’re obsessed with your university: The University of Wisconsin Madison. You managed to turn it around and got the mindset you dreamed of (obsession with your university specifically, university in general). More focused and cool and specific to actual Biomedical Engineering? You ACADEMIC WEAPONNNN. Your future is looking bright, and you’ve set yourself up for success (your biggest dream). This is random but maybe you went to some kind of Madison sporting event? A hockey game? A football game? Idk what else there is tbh. Probably a lot more, but clearly I don’t care enough about it. (Reader: this is funny).

Ballet

YOU’RE SO GOOD AT BALLET OMG.

Change

You know what you want in all aspects of your life. Just established in every way.

I believe so much has happened and changed in 2025, even more so than in 2024. It will probably, in a big way, be a really big year of change and growth, maybe the biggest one yet. I know you’ve had some amazing years of change and growth, but this year has probably just combined and included HUGE elements of change that have just never happened to you, AS WELL AS, the usual. 

Conclusion

I AM BEYOND EXCITED TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS!! I’M SO FULL OF LIFE RIGHT NOW. CAN’T WAIT TO SEE YOUR COMMENTARY IN A YEAR!!!
