Are no crushes anymore

Crushes used to be so fun.
I remember.
When you're a kid, it's like, just fun to have a crush on a person.
It's not on a very deep level. You think a person is cute and that's pretty much the extent of it.
But now that I'm older, all the magic has been lost. ✨🪄
Things are getting serious now. I'm 19. In this era, people around me are getting married. I don't know if it's the orthodoxy or Russian, but two of my best friends have either:
1.) Gotten married
2.) Are engaged with a plan to get married soon (in just a mere couple of months)
When I was a kid, it didn't appear as if the crush was so silly. For all I knew, I could've married that cute person. But now that I'm older, I realize there were a million different reasons it would have never worked out.
And it just makes me wonder and and ponder and think upon just how many different things there are like that, when as a kid you don't even have the capacity to realize so many things that only as a adult can and do you think about (children need to be protected, at all costs).
And now there are no crushes. It's all serious; not fun and games. It's not about crushes, it's about dates, dating, and dating-to-marry. It's about marriage. Sure you're cute, but there's a million reasons it wouldn't work out, and so there's sometimes no point in even trying to have a little fun. Because now the ramifications are huge.
