Favorite lines from movies and shows

Or thought-provoking, at the very least.

Here I'm going to start a compilation of favorite lines/scenes/moments from movies or shows.

I don't watch a lot of movies and shows compared to my friends who just beat me so much in this category, but the ones I do end up choosing to grace my time with, make an impact. Probably because I choose to grace my time with them.

Kung Fu Panda (movie)

• The scene when Po runs from his problems (real), Shifu stops him, and he says something along the lines of (depending on the language you're watching in, too) "Yeah it hurt everyday that you would hit me and insult me, but I stayed, because everyday my life brought me pain." -That's powerful.

• The songs are BEAUTIFUL.

Bridgerton (show)

• "Stare into my eyes" -Simon, S1

• "It is because I think so highly of you that I cannot marry you" -Simon, S1

• "Feelings have nothing to do with it. Indeed they are the ones responsible for this mess." REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLL I felt that. We love a feelings-denier king. His self misery is literally so relatable.

• "I am lucky to just be a man standing in the shadow of your light" -Colin, S3

• "I will spend a lifetime hoping you forgive me for not seeing you sooner" -Colin, S3

• Anything Eloise says, like "If you want to catch the moon, all you have to do is shoot at the stars. You can do anything you want. You are a man - so you have everything. I am a woman - therefore I have nothing. At least let me live vicariously through you." -Eloise, S1

• "You see what is an accomplishment? Instead of a man just staring at you and thinking you are pretty and having your babies? Attending UNIVERSITY" -Eloise, S1. My spirit animal.

• When Daphne is staring at Simon's biceps at the boxing match (yeah I know, I get it). S1.

• The music is not bad. Classical pop is totally strange, sarcastic , and wrong but at the same time it grew on me.

• "They are the easiest company in the world" -Daphne talking about children, S1. Real. I relate to that. They really are. This is going to be a separate blog post.

Ginny & Georgia (show)

• When Simone gets mad at Zion the first time he says I love you, says he has to back things up when he says them. The way she stands up and just leaves is pure comedy(to me).

• "I don't love you anymore" -Marcus, S3

• The scene when Marcus is lying on the floor because he still loves Ginny he lied and now she's "moved on" with a different guy and he wants to be happy for her but he's also depressed and is self-sabotaging himself by his depression being the only reason why he's not with her. An it's-not-you-it's-me situation. Real. I related to that.

• The scene when Ginny's mom is out of jail, Ginny says hi to Marcus, and is ready to leave, but he finally is done self-sabotaging himself and doesn't let her leave

Squid Game (show)

• Basically anything Thanos says, like "Welcome back, my brother"

• UM IN HO?????!!!!!!!! OML. Him. Just him. His face. Him in general. His focused look and intensity. How he's good at everything.

• That scene with him and the guns in S2 did things to me and it is unreturnable.

Damsel (movie)

• "This is not your damsel story" however it starts

Stranger Things (show)

• The scene where Max is about to get possessed by the demon demogorgon thing but they have to save her with her favorite song "Running Up That Hill" by Kate Bush

• Max also being a feeling denier with Lucas.

Divergent (movie sequel)

• "Are you kidding? What makes you think you can talk to me?" -Four (-from the first movie). I can't this was so funny. Quote this all the time with my friends.

• When it's found out that the only reason Four left when Tris was getting beat up after being her " personal trainer and cheerleader " was because he couldn't watch her getting beat up. Kind-of sweet but skill issue at the same time.

• Four just being the most focused locked-in intense man of all time

Mulan (movie sequel)

• "You...you fight good." Li Shang being an awkward cutie. That's Li Shang trying to flirt (first movie).

• his intensity and him in general are to die for

• Mulan looking at his biceps during training when he takes his shirt off (first movie)

• THE SONGS???????? I'll Make a Man Out of You!

Barbie Life in the Dreamhouse (sequel)

• “Warning: objects in mirror are handsomer than they appear.” -Ken. That was PURE CREATIVITY.

I know I am forgetting so many great iconic moments. I will try to remember more and keep this list updated. It's also just hard when I haven't watched a lot of this stuff, or earlier seasons, at all recently.

I think I should make the opposite blog post of things that absolutely murdered me in movies and shows and that I never fully recovered from.
