How good it is to get away

Recently my fam took a trip to Texas. We usually go camping every summer, in August, anywhere from 9 days to like 21 (3 weeks! I swear). But not really that long anymore, it's all the way on the other side of the spectrum, because of my mom's work. We go all over America, and visit the national beauties: National Parks, and just really explore and get a feel for America's beauty. Think I've been to every state.

It was definitely our first time camping in the winter, and of course it was only possible because it's still pretty warm in Texas in Decemember. But still lol, those nights were cold. Don't know if I'd do that again. In the summer, definitely!

The point I wanted to make is, how nice it is to get away. It was perfect timing too. We were all running away from our problems. That makes it extra good.

  1. If the timing is somehow that you're running away from your problems (an actual amazing freeing non-stressful feeling)...and that's coming from a NON-procrastinor too.

  2. If there's NO INTERNET connection (especially if your problems are connected to the internet). When my fam was in Texas, we didn't have internet connection for...basically the entire trip.

  3. NO SOCIAL MEDIA. Don't know what anybody else is doing, and there's no way to know. It's a truly freeing feeling.

  4. The beauty of nature really calms. Reconnect with nature, not just sit in a house all day (especially in the coldness of winter). Really remember what's important, what matters. Nature, family.

  5. Coming back from it is nice too. You have a nice trip that happened that you can smile and reflect on. But you're also baaaack, baby. Especially for me, a university student who still has a million days on break! (I have my New Year resolutions to do, but otherwise I don't know what to do with all the tiiiime....I'm not used to this).

Dear blog, I have not had a very happy day today for personal reasons, and not to mention, it’s probably only going to get worse, as I was really tired from the Daylight Savings today (I hate Daylight

This is not my title, but another title of another AJR song. Though it looks and sounds just like my own title, doesn’t it? I guess that’s just another sign of how well the songs, titles, lyrics, and

There’s a series of AJR songs that I think are a little bit more summery- so I might write about them as we get closer to summer. Even if, right now, it’s March (March 5th as I’m writing this), so lik
