I treat my blog like a job now that I think about it. Because Iā¦
Will dress up, like put in effort and get ready just to write (to feel better while writing)
Other times I will go somewhere to write, like a cafƩ
Will tell my friends I need to ālock inā to write
Especially if I havenāt written for a while!
Listen to music while writing (I do the same with homework)
Keep a running list of ideas and check them off when Iām done
Am learning how to use the āscheduledā post feature
Will edit and read over, sometimes add
Will think of ideas all the time, while writing, while trying to sleep sometimes (seriously itās annoying)
Like a job that extends into all hours, I write at all hours!
And think of ideas at all hours
At all times, I have like 20 drafts even if I try not to keep it this way.
And some of the ideas on my list are so far down, yikes, or have been there possibly getting close to like a year or years
I have a whole system for how I write, what I write about, like how I do it and everything.
For a quick rundown: well the actual writing part, I just write. And I donāt really get writerās block ever (even for the novels I have written). I donāt really plan. I just write as I think. The words just come, with the thoughts.
What I write about: I have a list of ideas, but also, the original idea for my blog was for it to basically be about my life. I mean that is the title, still, to this point. Even I forget that. āMasha Tchesnokovaās Life.ā In a way, anything I write about is my life, or about me, because itās my thoughts, opinions, and Iām the one writing about it. But if you take the āitās about meā very seriously, then not nearly all my posts are really āabout meā or about my life. A lot of them are just philosophical thoughts. Which I thoroughly enjoy writing about. But additionally of course, from that idea, some of the ideas that just come to me and I write about in the moment, are often things happening to me in the moment or plans for the future. That I just write about. And naturally thought goes into them anyway, because itās just reflecting, writing, and evaluation. Writing inevitably is reflecting and evaluation. Those blog posts are meant for people to catch up on my life, and I love it when people utilize it that way. Itās always a great moment when I get feedback from friends saying thatās how they caught up with me. That makes me so happy, that was exactly the original intention. My blog is slowly becoming a collection of all my thoughts, memories, important life moments, reflections, and I love it! Itās so special to me. Almost like a memoir. But there is still so much to write aboutā¦which brings me to the original point of this post: I treat it like a job! Lol.
I have actually written some blog posts about exactly how I write and where the ideas come from and stuff, or there may be more ideas I have no written about yet, but trust, itās coming
