I always loved words. I always loved writing. I always loved journaling. I always loved being able to express myself in different ways. In this way. And I think I now know an additional reason on why that is. Now let’s see if I can explain it LOL.
It’s because writing, words, it could be anyone. But it still feels individual. Your WORDS. Your neat little words - all typed out. It feels almost like a better version of yourself, something to represent you. I think people take you more seriously when you write than when you speak. And part of that may be because words are not erasable. They’re just there for you to look at. Spoken words - they come and go. It’s like, were they even there? So they clearly don’t feel like the best way to represent you. Not to mention, with spoken words, it can be more easily assumed the way you meant something to come across, but when you write, you can control the way you WANT it to come across, not someone just taking it how THEY want to take it. Plus, spoken words are scarier. It's scarier to say what you think straight to someone's face, and see their real-life reaction. Spoken words are scarier to say as well, especially if you don't feel brave enough to say how you really feel. It's all a lot easier with writing. Writing is long distance. Writing is timeless. Writing is history.
Typed-out words are clean, not to mention, you can pick any font, any color, and organize it in any way that is logical to you.
So yeah, I love words lol.
When you write words, you are in control. You can pick your audience, mood, tone, all that stuff. You can make an audience FEEL. As long as your audience can read, you are in control in catering to them. You can tell a story. “Capture an audience.”
And it makes you feel better about yourself too. Something permanent. Something to remember. Feelings that were expressed.
