Plotting…scheming, even, my future house

The same weekend (continuing from the previous blog post) we were at a friend’s house and I had to read Dostoevsky. As I was locked in doing this, for some reason, my boyfriend was looking at houses in Oregon (I don’t know why he wasn’t locked in on his own work, but you’ll have to take that up with him). I assumed he was looking at apartments in Madison, to be honest, because that would make more sense. Since that’s something both of us need to be doing at this time.
When I finally finished reading Dostoevsky, I joined him in looking at houses, and instantly rejected almost all of his saves.
And I learned what kind of architecture I would like for my future dream house. Keep in mind, I started plotting my future house when I was like 12 years old. This was also the time I planned my future wedding, and started my novel. I think I’ve never lived more, or been more grown up in a way, than when I was 12, even though I am now 20. Which is insane. I feel so old, just like my brother.
But this house was inspired my vision board (read that blog post too, by the way). It will have a Spanish architecture style, with arches, with a courtyard, with flowers in the garden, with gates, with DOUBLE DOORS, perhaps most importantly.
