Sleep Schedule Realizations (How to fix...)

Every summer I go through the same cycle that is: "I am going to wake up at 8:30 every day" and then I end up sleeping longer than that. But then have trouble falling asleep. Well, now I realized that because of wacky dreams, my mind tricks me into thinking that I want/need more sleep, when in reality I don't, because then if I sleep for too long then I have trouble falling asleep. I don't know if this helps anyone, because I feel like a lot of people struggle with their sleep schedules. My mind was tricking me, that's basically the takeaway. If you have problems with your schedule, consider reviewing if your mind does the same, and set a consistent alarm that works for...your body I guess. I wonder what affects what time works best for someone.
